TechTable Safety and Good Will Guidelines

TechTable by Cyber Pop-up: Safety Tips & Dining Etiquette

At TechTable, we’re dedicated to fostering authentic, respectful, and meaningful connections through curated dinners. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we’ve outlined essential safety tips and dining etiquette to guide you. Following these guidelines helps create a successful and joyful event for everyone.

Before Dinner

  • Communication: To keep the excitement of meeting new people, we do not allow pre-dinner chats through the platform. If you connect with others beforehand, we recommend keeping communication minimal.

  • Safety First: Let a trusted friend or family member know your dinner plans, including the restaurant’s location and your expected arrival time.

  • Preparation: Arrive with a positive attitude, an open mind, and your assigned table number. Familiarize yourself with the restaurant’s menu online, if available, to make ordering easier.

During Dinner

  • Respectful Interaction: Embrace diversity and engage in inclusive, respectful conversations. Be mindful of sensitive topics such as politics or humor that may not resonate well with everyone.

  • Behavior: Stay curious and open-minded, and be considerate of others’ dietary restrictions and preferences when ordering food.

  • Alcohol Consumption: Keep track of your alcohol intake to stay clear-headed and fully enjoy the experience.

  • Personal Belongings: Keep your personal items and drink within sight at all times for your safety.

After Dinner

  • Continued Connections: Use TechTable’s platform (coming soon) to stay in touch with attendees who made a positive impression. Only share personal information with those you trust.

  • Feedback: Share your experience with us—your input helps us improve future events!

  • Safety: If you notice any suspicious or inappropriate behavior during or after the event, report it immediately to support@cyberpopup.com.

Additional Tips

Personal Safety:

  • Be cautious about sharing financial information or transferring money to attendees.

  • Avoid accepting rides from anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Dining Etiquette:

  • Arrival Time: Be punctual to respect others and ensure a smooth start to the dinner. Late arrivals or last-minute cancellations affect everyone.

  • Ordering Food: Communicate openly if the group is sharing dishes, and be considerate of everyone’s dietary needs.

  • Splitting the Bill: Bring cash or a payment app to simplify bill-splitting. While most restaurants accommodate separate checks, it’s not guaranteed.

  • Tipping: Follow local customs—in many places, tipping 15-20% is standard. Be generous for excellent service.

Behavior:

  • Engage positively, and feel free to leave whenever you’re ready. There’s no pressure to stay longer than you’re comfortable.
